46th Annual Wonder Walk

Cornerstone Family Ministries is hosting its 46th annual Wonder Walk/Run on

Saturday, April 25th from 9am-12pm. The run starts at 8am and the walk is from 9am-12pm.

The event begins at Hyde Park UMC with the walk/run taking place down and

back along Bayshore Boulevard.

All proceeds will go to support scholarships for disadvantaged preschool children

attending one of the Rosa Valdez Early Learning Centers and Lab Schools in Tampa.

Harvester’s goal is to raise at least $6,000 to pay for 2 gap scholarships.

You can assist by doing one of the following:

• Make a basket for the silent auction (please contact Ruth directly: Ruth Reilly, 813-215-9227, rreilly@harvesercommunity.com   )
• Participate as a walker or a runner on the Harvester team (click below)
• Donate to support a Harvester walker/runner (click below)
• Sponsor the event (minimum $250 donation) (click below)

 Military & Campus Ministry Care Packages-April 26: Our Sisters in Spirit   women's group is sending care packages to our military family members and our  college students who will be taking their final exams soon! Let's show them our  love and support by donating individually packaged treats like cookies, chips,  cereal bars, etc. They also appreciate cards of encouragement. We have a bin in  the west wing hallway until April 26th for your donations. Thank you!

Civilian Response to Active Shooter Class

Active shooter incidents are unpredictable and evolve rapidly. Knowing how to respond in the first moments can save lives. This course provides civilians with practical strategies for recognizing danger, making quick decisions, and taking protective actions during a violent critical incident.

Participants will learn proven response principles, situational awareness skills, and options for protecting themselves and others until law enforcement arrives. Preparation and knowledge can reduce panic, increase survival, and help individuals respond effectively when seconds matter most.

This course is taught by our very own Bret Bartlett, a former law enforcement officer with extensive experience in policing, firearms instruction, and professional training. He has developed and delivered training for both law enforcement personnel and civilians in areas such as firearms and active shooter response.

The sign-up sheet is on the orange "Connect" board in the main hallway. Fees paid by check should be made payable to Ex Umbra Defense Solutions.

Ex Umbra will donate all fees back to Harvester!

Free Income Tax Preparation

United Way of Pasco County and the IRS sponsor free income tax assistance for elderly and low/moderate income taxpayers.

Appointments are available on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The location is next door at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
